Your wildest dreams (See also: Nightmares) have been answered! Capcom and Namco Bandai have confirmed that Pac-Man and Mega Man will exclusively appear in the PlayStation Vita and PS3 versions of Street Fighter X Tekken.

Pac-Man will be featured riding Mokujin, while the Mega Man selected is the "classic" (See also: Terrible) box art character from the original Mega Man game in the US.

"If you're like me, you may be wondering, 'w... why that version of Mega Man?' Well, in the spirit of crossover fun, the dev team wanted both Capcom and Namco's mascots to join the fray in a slightly silly, goofy way," Capcom's community manager Brett Elston wrote on his Capcom-Unity blog.

As for the classic Blue Bomber, Capcom says more is to come for him. "Make no mistake though, classic Blue Bomber Mega Man still has a future, and we have Top Men (not Top Man) on the case." December marks the 25th anniversary for the classic character.

[Update] Capcom has confirmed that all bonus characters--Sony cats Kuro and Toro, Pac-Man, Mega Man, and Cole McGrath from Infamous will be available on both the PS3 and Vita.

Damnit, I'm not paying for a Vita to play as Mega Man. But I really want to!

The release video announces exclusive characters for PS3 & Vita and then shows them all without saying which is for which. Very misleading.

Hmm, the blog post doesn't differentiate either. Looks like they'll be in the PS3 version, too: http://www.capcom-unity.com/brelston/blog/2012/01/26/two_more_ps3vita_exclusive_characters_revealed_for_street_fighter_x_tekken

unless I'm missing something obvious. I'm getting the PC version, wonder how long until someone hacks them in?

I've updated the post to clear up confusion:

[Update] To clear up some confusion over which characters are exclusive to which platforms: Sony cats Kuro and Toro are exclusive to the PS3, Pac-Man and Mega Man are Vita exclusive. Cole McGrath from Infamous will be available on both platforms.

You are just adding to the confusion?

All that I'm reading elsewhere indicates all of them will be on PS3 & Vita.

I apologize, Capcom has confirmed that all characters listed will be in both the Vita and PS3 versions.

It was the line: "These two join Cole (from inFamous) and the Kuro/Toro cats for a total of five Sony-exclusive characters on that platform" that led to some confusion.

They need to stop yanking each other's dicks and make a fucking Mortal Kombat VS Street Fighter for Christ's sake. Don't talk to me about fighting styles and engines - you could make it work.

It has more to do with Mortal Kombat meaning dick in Japan, and both SF and Tekken being powerhouses there.

I always thought SF and the SNK stuff were a better fit than Tekken. Tekken feels so weird with SF2.

Americans make up 60% of SF sales and euros about 30%, according to Ono anyway. I think they are waiting for that to be the go to match up when everything else has been used up.

Relax MK is like the bottom of the list for potential crossover games. Smash bros crossover is next we can only dream nintendo fighters vs.

And watch Megaman and Pac-Man be DLC for 360 users, because Sony payed Capcom for timed exclusivity, or some such nonsense. Oh, who am I kidding, I just want them real bad.

I had it pre-ordered for 360, but the extra characters is a tempting (FREE) bonus to get the PS3 version...
