Morning Discussion
If you haven't already, pull some of Nielsen's back catalog of work. Airplane is a classic, he was brilliant in the Naked Gun series, and the show Police Squad! is a personal favorite. Surely, he'll be missed.

How was everyone's weekend?
Myself, i did my usual gaming, got a minimal amount of shopping down, and spent the rest of it downing leftovers and pie!-
sort of a mixed bag for me. first big family holiday solo for us.. since I'm the last of my immediate family around. So we had close friends over, got smashed and had fun anyhow. then we had a cathartic moment and cleaned out our attic of a TON of old shit yesterday and good christ did it feel good to purge. Trashmen won't be happy with me, but our local steel pickers will.. had 4 bedframes we were hanging on to for no apparant reason.
on a simiar note, any boston area shackers want a dell 32" 1080i capable flatscreen TV? it's 3 years old but works fine. -
I was on call for a Victorian election (and still am) - when the new team takes offices all hell is going to break loose for BlackBerry wipes, Killdisking machines, re-imaging machines, re-configuring BlackBerries and creating accounts etc - it's a giant clusterfuck.
In theory the new guys could disband our entire group too, although we don't think they will. -
Lots of food! I finally got to finish preparing my deep-fried braised pork belly caesar salad for guests on saturday evening, main was a ribeye and mashed potatoes and asparagus.. the day before we had some other friends and I made chana masala and saag paneer alongside a pilaf and some roti (but I cheated because I prepared the two main dishes the night before)

its too early for me to parse your triple negatives kgargs
but I'm all for making shit from scratch. I made my own paneer cheese on thursday and it owned.
I understand that people dont always have time to make their own croutons and shit like they have kids and theres laundry and stuff to do but if you have time and you love food then indulge
it drives me nuts that at the grocery store they sell a plastic box with chopped onions in it. like, seriously.-

I'm with you on the bread crumbs but if you're complaining about the prep for pecan chopping or cheese grating, to me that work's totally reasonable.
food stays fresher in big clumps than when its torn into little pieces, and you're talking about a few minutes of prep in exchange for fresher food (and the satisfaction of transforming raw materials into a delicious dish) I'll personally take those minutes -
