Morning Discussion
With Halloween coming up, it's costume-hunting time here in Indiana. Problem is, I hopped on the bandwagon far too late. Had I thought about this a few weeks earlier, I could have had a Green Man suit in time for this weekend's pre-Halloween festivities.
But no, I waited until two days before, and there seems to be no way in the entire internet to buy a green lycra body suit and have it shipped here overnight. In fact, I can't find someone in the United States that even has one in stock.
On the plus side, a Green Man suit seems to be the perfect year-round costume, so...
Anyways, it's Friday, and the weekend's almost here. Surely I'm not the only one with weekend plans--anyone reading a good book? Seeing a good movie? Trying to catch up on their gaming time? Going on a zombie walk?

Happy Friday Shack!
What games will you be playing this weekend?-

Actually, I think what's wrong with the game is the travel and respawning enemies. Every time you accept a mission, you have to travel all the way across the map to get there. You come across these guard posts that 0wn you because the enemies magically respawn in them even after you have killed them prior. If you try to run from the enemies, they haul ass and shoot down your ride. Then you have an awkward battle in the wilderness with no cover at all except your car.
I think if there was a way to disable respawning enemies (e.g., if you have scouted a guard post then no more dudes appear in it), the game would be way better. As it stands right now, you get in huge battles when you don't want to. Much like with CoD4, I have found that putting the difficulty down to the normal makes the game much more tolerable due to the respawning enemies and gauntlets you have to go through.
I have also found that the vehicles don't go fast enough when you travel. This makes going across the map to a mission especially tedious. I think a better way to implement missions is to show where on the map the mission is, put a little green circle around it, and let the player choose at which point next to the mission area to spawn.
I'm only like 3 hours into the game, but those are my general impressions. I almost think this game might be better if you smoked because you spend a lot of time traveling through the wilderness and can enjoy some pretty views. Can any smokers verify this? -

1) Far Cry2. Now with Widescreen fov FIX!!! YAY
2) Obligatory COH , 1v1 & 2v2
3) COD4 for head shots, just made it to lv55
4) Peggle Nights (you know you want to)
5) STALKER: clear sky. I am having trouble making myself enter the last city cause people say it gets more linear and I love the open world.
6) Witcher EE. Stopped playing in chapter 3 when I heard it would get updated and started a new game. Now I am having trouble finding time with all the great FPSRPGs out (FC2, FO3, S:CS) But I know I will get back into it.
7) Really want to pre-order Fallout 3 on Steam. However, I have so many games to play now...and I know I will get to Fallout and maybe its best to wait for the mods anyway...plus, I want that lunchbox and I'm running out of monies and don't pirate for the good of the industry.
