Morning Discussion
by Jeff "geedeck" Gondek, Nov 14, 2007 6:13am PSTHow is everyone doing today? I zonked out a bit early last night, still trying to get rid of whatever is going around. Busy day though, with Rocket Race enthusiasm bringing it into mainstream Halo 3. I wonder how people will react? Probably just like they mistreat Oddball with vetoes. :( Don't they know it's only the best melee weapon? Poor Skulley. Still more stuff to bring together this morning, but I think we'll run a contest in the chatty today too. We have two copies of Gears of War PC, courtesy of Microsoft and Epic. In order to qualify, post your best co-op gaming story in this thread, and we'll post winners tomorrow.

the same with perfect dark for the n64. all three of us would head into multiplayer and play for hours on end, laughing and having a blast. my dad was a headshotter and would always dominate us. i loved the timed mines. I would attach them to npcs or my brother and send them into the fray.
the funniest is when our family first got the nes. we played super mario brothers and were horrible at it. it tooks us forever just to get out a 1-1. when we were finally able to jump the pits, we made it to the flagpole. everyone there jumped up in excitement and screamed "we beat it!", only to have that shattered when we found out there were many more levels to complete. :p
since then, my brother and i share many gaming experiences. we regularly play tf2 together. we've also played civ4, serious sams, guitar hero, double dragons, and numerous other games together. i've also taught my dad level design and he regularly makes call of duty maps. sometimes, it is damn awesome living in a household of gamers.
