Obscure turns survival horror into monster mash

Remember the 2004 survival horror Obscure? No, that's fine, as the new Obscure announced today has little to do with it beyond licensing the property. The new one is a side-scrolling monster mash, coming for download on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this spring.

Wargame: AirLand Battle invades Scandinavia

Farming Simulator 2013 coming to consoles too

PC peeps have long enjoyed giving the gag gift of unusual simulators from Europe, and now consolemaniacs can join in on the fun too. Farming Simulator 2013 has been announced for release this October, coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well as PC.

Confrontation bringing wargame to PC in April

Cyanide Studio did a decent job of turning a tabletop game into a video game with Blood Bowl, and on April 5 we'll get to see its stab at another adaptation in Confrontation, based on the vintage miniatures wargame by Rackham.

Adventure game developer Pendulo Studios is giving its comic muscle a rest, after flexing it in The Next Big Thing and the Runaway series, with "dark thriller" Yesterday. Announced today, it's due in Q2 2012.

Wargame: European Escalation announced

R.U.S.E. and Act of War developer Eugen Systems has revealed its next title: Wargame: European Escalation. Though the PC-exclusive RTS is expected to launch in "early 2012", the game will get a large reveal at E3 2011.
