The classic RTS campaign is a stodgy affair, with mission following mission and maybe a side-mission or two if you're lucky. R.U.S.E. developer Eugen Systems has gone a little more exciting with its next game Wargame: AirLand Battle, using a dynamic campaign where you can hit regions across the campaign map as you please, but each decision has a consequence.

It was a murky world, the Parisian nightlife of the 1920s, but sometimes a little shadow can be useful when you're an 8-year-old girl's glamorous imaginary friend. Publisher Focus Home Interactive today announced it's picked up Contrast, a puzzle-platformer where you can shift into shadow to pass obstacles in the unreal world.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse's concept is interesting--a first-person person in a Portal-ish sci-fi setting which careens in the Cthulhu mythos--but we hadn't seen much of the game until now. After months of screenshots, publisher Focus Home today released the first trailer, showing some of the brain-teasers and brain-eaters we'll face.

Remember the 2005 survival horror ObsCure and its sequel? No, that's fine, as the new Obscure announced today has little to do with them beyond licensing the property. The new one is a side-scrolling monster mash, coming for download on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this spring.

The classic football-fantasy crossover is getting another release: Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition. The new title coming to PC will feature three new races, for a total of 23 in all. As the name would imply, one of those races is the Chaos Dwarves, an anticipated faction addition for long-time fans.

Cyanide Studio did a decent job of turning a tabletop game into a video game with Blood Bowl, and soon we'll get to see its stab at another adaptation in Confrontation. Based on the vintage miniatures wargame by Rackham, it's coming to PC on April 5, publisher Focus Home Interactive announced today.

EA's Origin distribution service has been busy signing on even more third-party publishers to distribute through the channel. The company has now announced an additional seven publishers, including Remedy Entertainment of Alan Wake fame. Remedy will be bringing the title to Origin as part of the deal.

Gangland, the RPG/RTS from 2004, is now available for purchase from the folks at Good Old Games.
Following Mario, one of five brothers in the Mangano family, you must avenge the death of your youngest sibling. What's the hitch, you ask? Your murdered brother, who was just named as head of your family's crime syndicate, was killed by your remaining siblings in a battle for power. The annual Mangano reunion is going to be so awkward.
