- it "used" to be free. Well, games used to cost 10x less to make. And content takes MUCH longer to make today. You could shit out an Unreal or Quake 3 map in 3 weeks back in the day. takes much much longer now.
- They are holding back content for DLC that "should" be in the game. This is just ridiculous and not true. Not to mention that you still, on average, get 10 hour games today, and in fact a game like Borderlands is like 30 hours, so ....
- Day 1 DLC? Artists and designers need things to do during 3 months of cert and finalizing the builds. When 80+ people make a game and you need 25 to ship it, those 65 people need shit to do.
I'm bored. Most of you guys just have no idea how the industry works or why decisions are made and if you ran a game dev you'd do 100% the exact same things.
