Also when compared to expansion packs of yesteryear it seems that a lot of DLC is less bang for the buck (of course there are exceptions).
Additionally as we transition away from retails sales, we will/and have seen DLC retaining it's original price over time (that is, DLC doesn't go on sale/clearance).
Those are my main concerns with DLC.
Also there is the emotional factor with launch day DLC, where you just bought a game and it feels like it's not complete because they just released additional content. Knowing that there is more game out there that you didn't get in your release day box can be a little upsetting (like I said, emotional, not rational).
