Ability to sort by many different fields: check
many fields for metadata: check
complete tag editor: has artwork, but lack lyrics (lyrics can be seen via the now playing page)
settings for different songs: (not sure about equalizer, but there are volume settings you can set on a per-song basis, lets give iTunes another point)
smart playlists: check
playlist folders (I'm surprised Winamp lacks this, point for iTunes)
compilation albums: check
instant search: check
automatic album art grabbing: check
genius: (one big point for iTunes)
iTunes DJ: can queue up songs. Since requests are handled via another app, I will plug the winamp web interface which can do similar things.
Music Videos/PDFs: point to iTunes
so iTunes does have some nice things over Winamp, the big ones being Genius and Music Video/PDF integration. Doing a search there is a plugin to make a genius-like playlist, but I haven't tried it yet. Thank you for the examples, and I will acknowledge that iTunes does beat Winamp on some of these points, but I hope this shows that Winamp has kept up pretty well and isn't stuck in 1997.
