The point of asking if you've taken a moderately high level math and physics course is because I'm trying to understand your viewpoint. Your impression of how these courses are taught across the board is only accurate if you haven't taken any high level math or physics course, which you haven't (no, calc and diffeq are not high level -- they're still intro shit).

Note the difference between what we said is your view that the actual calculations (the part that causes you to develop the intuition) were unimportant and shouldn't be included.
