If a game is rendered at 1600x1200 and you see image X, why isn't 1920x1200 the exact same thing as image X + 160 pixels more of the world on each side?
Why does it make sense to render 1920 x 1440 (in the above scenario) and chop 110 pixels from the top and bottom?
