EA and DICE announced Line of Sight, a custom game type for Battlefield 1 due for release this week.

According to EA's official description, Line of Sight concentrates on medics and scouts—the only two classes available. "With double bullet damage the Scouts are more lethal than ever and as a natural counter to this, Medics will need to make optimal use of their arsenal to balance out the teams."

Line of Sight is one of many content releases coming down the pipe for Battlefield 1. Hardcore Mode, released earlier this month, strips away vital gameplay elements like the minimap or crosshair to challenge elite players. A forthcoming free update will include a map called Giant's Shadow, where you'll "take part in the Battle of the Selle in the cold autumn of 1918, where a masstive crashed airship casts its shadow onto the battlefield," per EA.

In March 2017, DICE will roll out They Shall Not Pass, the first official expansion pack for Battlefield 1.
