Bandai Namco and From Software are testing out a few aspects of Dark Souls 3 and it looks like they need the player base's help, because a network stress test has just popped up for PlayStation Plus members.

It's going to be a while before Dark Souls 3 releases, but Bandai Namco and From Software are currently in the process of hammering out some issues and conducting some tests. With that said, it appears that a Dark Souls 3 stress test is currently up and running on the PlayStation Network and is available for download.

The main purpose of the test is to see how well servers hold up, as well as test out some of the Dark Souls 3 multiplayer features. From Software will also be monitoring various balance issues.

This network stress test is only available for PlayStation Plus members and is presumably available for a limited time only. Find the 2.9GB download here.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
