Batman: Arkham Knight's Batgirl DLC delayed on PC

WBIE has revealed they're delaying Batgirl: A Matter of Family on PC and future DLC until Batman: Arkham Knight is fixed.

Batman: Arkham Knight is preparing to receive its first piece of downloadable content that puts the spotlight on Batgirl and Robin prior to the events of Arkham Asylum. Unfortunately, those who own the PC version of Arkham Knight won’t be receiving this piece of content, Warner Bros. has announced.

“Our continued focus on getting the right PC fixes in place for the main game has had an impact on the development of all DLC content for the PC version of the game,” writes WB Games’ lead community admin Yorick. “This means that the Batman: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will not be available on July 14th for those who are currently playing the PC version of the game.  We apologize for the delay and only want to make sure that any content that we offer is up to the standards that PC players expect.”

We learned Batman: Arkham Knight’s PC version will require “significant” work before both WBIE and Rocksteady Studios are happy with the product. Fortunately, it appears progress is being made as Yorick says the team believes they “have identified a number of fixes for the larger issues that were affecting PC players at launch.”

It’s a shame to hear those who currently own the PC version of Arkham Knight won’t be able to experience any upcoming DLC until the game itself is up to par with its console counterparts. Considering how highly-anticipated Batgirl: A Matter of Family has been since it was announced, we’re sure this isn’t exactly the best news for PC gamers to hear a day prior to its release.

While they probably could have given us this news earlier, at least WB continues to talk to us rather than just wait until after the launch and try to make an 'opps' comment.

I really don't think they'd do it, but just giving us what effectively would be a goty version, meaning all the dlc will just be free, would go a good ways to repairing the pr dmg done for the pc community.

I am okay with this. I really wish they'd hurry up and get that first major patch out.

I'm hoping for a good PC patch in the next few days. I finally move into our new house later this week. I will once again have my tv, ps4, and PC. I'd rather play on PC, but I'll just get ps4 if need be.

The statement they released a few days ago makes it sound like we're not going to see an update for a long time. I'd put money on weeks.

After giving up on the PC port, I went out and bought a PS4. The game looks and runs amazing on it. I wouldn't hesitate playing it on PS4 unless 60FPS is absolutely essential for you to enjoy a game.

I just finished the game on pc. Loved it.

Are the issues on the game only when you have everything on high? I had everything turned to low and it ran perfectly for me.

The biggest problems are encountered when doing anything with speed. Namely, the Batmobile. I thought the game was running pretty well on my PC until I saw some footage of how Batmobile mobility should look, and discovered how broken it really is.

I was finally able to make enough tweaks to get it running pretty great, but every single time I play it I run into a memory leak after playing for about 30 minutes. I just had enough and wanted to get a PS4 anyway :)
