Xbox One owners will be able to get their hands on Star War: Battlefront before any other platforms thanks to EA Access.

Microsoft game marketing lead Aaron Greenberg tweeted confirmation of news on Twitter, which can be seen below.

As of now, there’s no word on just how far ahead Xbox One owners will be able to play Star Wars: Battlefront. Nearly a week prior to the launch of Battlefield Hardline, EA Access offered a 10-hour trial of the game, which may be the possible route EA takes with Battlefront’s head start on Xbox One.

A special Star Wars: Battlefront event will be taking place during this week’s Star Wars Celebration which will include the first public debut. Hopefully EA will have more information to share regarding the Xbox One’s Battlefront head start then.

Has anyone seen gameplay videos of this yet? The hype is strong with this one.

These are less annoying than console exclusives, but I do still have the irrational dream that some day Microsoft will announce that it will be available on PC early too.

I thought the new management was about stopping division rivalry at MS that made the XBox people compete against the windows people?

EA Access is great excuse for being separate, but it isn't like Origin isn't an EA exclusive thing on Windows that could be leveraged the same way.

Yeah, but if you look at the history of EA Access, this isn't a big deal at all. So far, hasn't it only been a few days, maybe a week?

EA+Dice=I ain't touching this game with a ten foot pole.

Unless this game is no less than Earth shatteringly amazing,I'm not going to even bother with it.

For at least a year you mean? Cuz after a year of 200 patches, the game becomes shipable playable

And why in the hell would anyone want to wait one year+ for a game to finally be "playable".

BF4 still has some very noticeable issues, and after every patch, after they fix one thing, they seem to break something else.

Sorry, but I'm not going to get sucked in again.

BF4 has been playable and fun for me for awhile now, but I refuse to touch Hardline
