The Thunder King has been unleashed in Pandaria with the newest content update for Blizzard's World of Warcraft. The 5.2 patch was released today and includes a new raid, new world bosses, and a new hub for daily quests that players usually loathe for building rep with a new faction.

The patch weighs in at almost 2GB, but provides plenty of class changes and fixes in addition to the new Isle of Thunder, which will force both Alliance and Horde to work toward unlocking various stages of quests. The normal Throne of Thunder raid dungeon opens today, but as with previous raids, you'll have to wait a week for the heroic version. The first raid wing will also appear in Looking For Raid, with subsequent wings unlocking each wing after.

There's a lot to digest in this patch, and Blizzard has set up a hub with discussions on all the new content. But if you just want the bullets with no explanation, then you can tackle the 5.2 patch notes on your own.

I'm seriously contemplating picking up the CE that is available at my local Frys after work. I haven't played WoW since Cata first came out.

I vision myself squeezing in an hour or two every other night (or so), but I'm wondering if it's even worth it. Cata just tired me out and I quite before I even made it to lvl 83.

How's the panda content? I guess I'm more interested in playing the new monk class and venturing through the "new" low level content that Cata introduced that I never tried.

The Cata revamp of the original world is really good. I enjoyed it more than high level Cata stuff.

It's not so bad leveling up now to. I made a monk when panda hit and got to the cap fairly quickly

a LOT of my friends have come back since MoP, including myself.

I'm having a great time. It isn't as good as BC but it's better than the others.

That's encouraging news. I don't plan on raiding this time around since I don't have the time for it like I did when I was single and didn't have a small family. Just looking to see the "low level" world as a new class. Hell, I still haven't played as a Death Knight or whatever new class/race that was introduced way back in Cata. I hope it's enjoyable in small bites though.

Green fire for warlocks! Unfortunately I'm on Illidan, so currently sitting in queue for about 30 minutes.

Illidan is just the worst in terms of queue times. Ugh. I resubbed briefly at the start of MoP and it was horrible.

Yep, I played on Medivh. Only time we had queues was when we were the first server to open the AQ gates. Oh my... what a time. So much fun those few weeks.

Oh god. AQ nearly killed my server, and it was done when there were nowhere as many people as normal online.

It was total insanity. So much fun, though! I had an ace computer at the time, so I was able to stay connected most of the time. Just completely chaos. Giant elites running around, fags from other servers trying to get us PvP flagged to grief us. It was probably the most fun I've had in a video game.

My guild recently changed to Illidan because we couldn't pull recruits on our old server (Blackhand). The last few weeks we had trouble getting 25 on for raid. Transferred to Illidan and now we have basically a 40 man roster. 100% worth the queue times.
