Firefall first public beta weekend starts Friday
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 22, 2013 4:00pm PSTIf you're looking for a new way to shoot faces this weekend, consider giving free-to-play shooter MMO Firefall a bash in its first proper public beta weekend. It's been running in a closed beta for a while, selling access and 'Founder' membership in tiers starting at $20, but all and sundry are allowed in over the weekend.
The beta will kick off at 10am PDT on Friday then run until 11:59pm PDT on Sunday, developer Red 5 announced. To get in, simply register an account. Don't think you'll go playing non-stop for 62 hours, oh no, as accounts are limited to 48 hours of play over the weekend. Just because.
Look, here's a new trailer showing off the joys of shooting man and beast:
Warning: PS3 firmware 4.45 crashing consoles
