Minecraft 1.8 update is live
by Xav de Matos, Sep 14, 2011 7:30pm PDTThough a developer at Mojang Specifications released a company-sanctioned leak of Minecraft's 1.8 update last week, the latest update for the game is now available via the game's official launcher.
The news today came from Minecraft mastermind Markus "Notch" Persson, who revealed via Twitter that the "Adventure Update" went live earlier today. Notch does note that there is one hitch at the moment, "Minecraft.net isn't up right now because of web ops stuff." The team is working to correct that issue.
