Wrestling feuds are the norm in the squared circle, but what happens when a certain feud goes beyond the ring and beyond promotional boundaries? There's been a long-running feud between Xavier Woods of WWE's The New Day and Kenny Omega of New Japan Pro Wrestling's Bullet Club. And while promotional boundaries mean they can't settle their dispute inside a wrestling ring anytime soon, they've taken their feud to the realm of video games. It's a feud that's been going on for quite a while, with the two first facing off in a Street Fighter V exhibition back at CEO 2016.

Omega got the better of that meeting, but the two have kept lobbing jabs at one another via Twitter and through Woods' UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. The feud has come to a head and it's time to settle things, once and for all, at this year's E3.

Woods will face off with Omega one more time in the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition ring, but things have changed since their last meeting. For one thing, SFV:AE has a certain new game mode that Woods is pretty familliar with. Woods has challenged Omega to a Team Versus Mode battle, heavily implying that his New Day partners, Kofi Kingston and Big E, will be joining him.

While Omega accepted the challenge, he was clearly taken aback by these proceedings, realizing he needs two partners. He tried to place a call to WWE Champion AJ Styles, but given their past history, that didn't go too well.

With the Bullet Club in the midst of a civil war, does Kenny Omega have any partners he can rely on? His friendship with the Young Bucks has clearly seen better days. Will he call upon his fellow Golden Lovers tag team partner Kota Ibushi? Or will Omega's backup be a surprise?

Find out when Xavier Woods and the New Day collide with Kenny Omega and his mystery partners at next week's E3 2018 Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition exhibition. It's set to take place on June 14 on the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
