Cyberpunk 2077 Will Crash the Party at E3 2018

If the rumors are true, the game will be playable behind closed doors at the show.

According to Polish gaming site GryOnline, CD Projekt RED has plans to pull the wraps of its highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 at the upcoming E3 2018 show in June. The company is expected to show the public a trailer and present a playable demo behind closed doors at the show. GryOnline says that the claim has been verified by two independent sources.

If Cyberpunk 2077 will be present at E3 2018, it will likely be one of the highlights of the entire event. The gaming public is incredibly enthusiastic to see what CDPR is up to following the breakout success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its outstanding expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

In the past, The Witcher 3 was shown off as a part of Microsoft’s E3 presentations, though it is uncertain if Cyberpunk 2077 will be a feature title for the Xbox brand. Just last week, gamers got whipped up in a frenzy after the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account awoke from a five year hibernation.

They have been in production for only 2 years, it's just now that the engine scripting and everything else is in place for them to I. Plenty the gamesystems/quests. It will take 2 more years.

              CDPR is a good barometer.

              CIG is another.

Actual release October 2021 because they want to make sure the trash physics transitioning from the upper city to lower city work correctly.

could be in danger of wearing out its welcome. Bladerunner, Altered Carbon on Netflix, Electric Dreams on Amazon, arguably Black Mirror is a little cyberpunky.... tons and tons of books at this point....

but give me all of it though, i want it all

yeah. zombie stories ran out of interesting things to say real quick.

near future sci-fi seems pretty renewable though. we're constantly exposed to new tech in real life, so it's always interesting to extrapolate forward and imagine where it could go

cyberpunk has a problem with specificity though. eventually we'll get tired of minor key synth pop and rainy metropolises

it can get too nihilistic at times, and it's also the genre of sci-fi to become dated the most quickly, but I haven't tired of it yet

Fantasy stuff is usually super cheesy too, I'd wager even more cheesy than cyberpunk.

And yet... CDPR gave us Witcher 3

i'm cool with as far as technology and social/political development etc. go but sometimes character and costume design is simply bad. like yo just because it's the future it doesn't mean that everyone will be a leatherdaddy with a pink mohawk. that's just lazy.

No more so than probably 90% of what you already play, read, and/or watch. Execution is key and they've proven they're abso-freaking-lutely capable. Personally though, I love sci-fi, it's my favorite genre, cyberpunk or otherwise.
