The flood of new releases in time for the holiday season continues unabated next week. We'll be getting Saints Row: The Third, Need for Speed: The Run, Telltale's Jurassic Park: The Game, Rayman Origins, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and oh so many

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim headline a packed release bill next week, which also includes Rayman Origins, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, L.A. Noire on PC, Super Mario 3D Land, and so much more.

With the holiday season nigh, Nintendo has announced new DSi XL bundles for parents who don't want their sprogs getting all googly-eyed from the 3DS, with Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem and a DSi XL in either a boy color or a girl color.

Battlefield 3 (or JetProne64, to use its true name), Stronghold 3, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Sword of the Stars II, inFamous: Festival of Blood, The House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut, and heaps more new games are arriving next week.

Next week will bring Batman: Arkham City, Rocksmith, Dungeon Defenders, Payday: The Heist, and heaps more.

A bumper week is coming, with Forza 4, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Might & Magic Heroes VI, Aliens: Infestation, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, MDK 2 HD, and heaps more shiny things all due to arrive.

The arrival of Rage and Dark Souls make next week a glorious time for violence, though there'll be Just Dance 3 to provide relaxation when you're sick of bloodshed.

THQ recently closed down studios and cancelled projects in Australia. Now company CFO Paul Pucino defended the decision to a group of investors, saying the cancelled projects weren't "consistent" with the company's new strategy.
