Injustice roster adds Bane, Lex Luthor

Injustice roster adds Bane, Lex Luthor

We already know that Injustice: Gods Among Us includes comic book royalty like Superman and Batman, but a superhero without his nemesis is just a jerk beating the crap out of poor street thugs. If the game includes B-level characters like Deathstroke, of course it has to feature Lex Luthor and Bane as well.

Injustice trailer reveals Deathstroke

Warner Bros has unveiled another pugilist from fight 'em up Injustice: Gods Among Us's lineup, confirming the stabby-shooty Deathstroke for its DC Comics brawl-o-rama. "Who's Deathstroke?" you may ask. Why, he's the mercenary Deadpool ripped off, only less interesting than Marvel's character turned out to be.

Joker, Green Lantern confirmed for Injustice

The superhero smack-down Injustice: Gods Among Us got two more obvious inclusions today: Joker and Green Lantern. This comes just after yesterday's announcement of Green Arrow, because DC Comics have a frankly odd amount of love for that color.

Green Arrow joins Injustice: Gods Among Us line-up

Green Arrow joins Injustice: Gods Among Us line-up

NetherRealm and Warner Bros were smart to get all of the obvious DC superheroes appearing in Injustice: Gods Among Us out of the way first. No one would be surprised when they revealed that Batman or Wonder Woman would be in the game. So now the character revelation roll-out can rely on slightly more surprising entries, like today's announcement of Green Arrow.

Injustice nabs Catwoman

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a veritable who's who of DC's most well-known comic characters. So it should come as no surprise that Batman's lithe on-again, off-again romance will be clawing her way into the line-up. Warner Bros announced Catwoman as part of the roster today, who will fight among other announced characters like Cyborg, Superman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman.

Injustice: Gods Among Us preview

Injustice: Gods Among Us preview

QUICKTAKE: Despite coming from the makers of Mortal Kombat, the new DC Universe fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us plays little like the fatal fighter. After that initial surprise, I quickly discovered that this game has the potential to live up to the high expectations of comic book and fighting game fans.

Mortal Kombat Vita preview

Mortal Kombat Vita preview

When I first saw Mortal Kombat's Vita-exclusive touch-screen mini-games, I scoffed. "The touch-screen features seem entirely tacked-on," I said.

Well, having gotten my hands on the Vita version of Mortal Kombat, I have to admit I was wrong. While the gameplay of these experiences is nowhere as deep as the core game, they have enough campy Mortal Kombat personality that it's hard not to laugh while playing.

Mortal Kombat Kollection punches onto PC

You may not have noticed that the retro bundle o' blow-trading that is the Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection was released for download on PC last week, perhaps because publisher Warner Bros. neglected to publicize it much. But it was released, you know, so, if you want, you could buy the revamps of the first three MK games now, with money?
