Capcom has finally announced a US release of Ace Attorney 5. However, instead of giving the 3DS sequel such an easy-to-follow title, the US version will be called Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies--a title we think sounds better suited for the Layton crossover.
Dual Destinies begins like a thrilling season of 24, with the game's iconic court room destroyed. "It's down to Phoenix Wright and his team at the Wright Anything Agency to discover the cause of the destruction," Capcom describes. "Players will have to battle it out in court against Gaspen Payne, the younger brother of Winston Payne from previous Ace Attorney titles, as they defend the accused."

The Mega Man X shooter Maverick Hunter, previously in the works by ex-Metroid Prime developers at Armature Studio, was apparently cancelled because of differing viewpoints about the project within publisher Capcom.

It's not difficult to see why Capcom picked up Dontnod Entertainment's Remember Me. It's a stylish brawler, with an interesting combo-building mechanic set in a fascinating futuristic world. The game takes full advantage of its memory-based narrative, offering interesting ways of interacting with people's memories. Yet, in spite of all the incredible things Remember Me does, it fails to execute on the fundamental gameplay mechanics. In short, it may look like a Capcom game--but it certainly doesn't play like one.
The future dreamt up by Dontnod is intriguing. People are able to store, share, and relive memories--and like a drug, many become dependent on the technology. The game begins with Nilin waking up from a memory-wiping operation, where an evil corporation has attempted to extract her memories. Now stricken with amnesia, she is intercepted by a group know as the "Errorists," that are trying to free people from the monolithic rule of memory technology.

Capcom's upcoming Remember Me has teased the escapades of memory hunter Nilin, and her ability to take the memories of her enemies. A new trailer shows exactly what she can do with them once she has gathered them.
"Nilin can render a stolen memory in real time and in three dimensions," said Dontnod Entertainment creative director Jean-Maxime Moris in the narrated video. Another special power Nilin has is the Memory Remix, which allows the player to change key details in a person's memory to make alter their behavior. Check out the video for an explanation of the process.

If you've picked up the expandalone Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen or are still bashing away at the original Dragon's Dogma, whoa there, Nelly! Hold up a second! A recent patch has introduced a save data corruption bug to both games, Capcom warns, so you'll want to back up your saves somewhere safe until it's fixed. I'd advise simply stopping playing for now to be safe and avoid the hassle, but what do I know?

While the Resident Evil series has been skidding downhill towards a fetid pit filled with bloated corpses since Resident Evil 4, Capcom pulled things back a bit with Resident Evil: Revelations on Nintendo 3DS. Now that it's coming to PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U too, you may be wondering, just how much better is it? You'll be able to judge for yourself, as a downloadable demo is coming to all four platforms "soon."
