Persona 4 Arena Xbox 360 lag patch incoming
Persona 4 Arena landed on North American store shelves but if you picked the fighting game up on Xbox 360 and found it a bit laggy, fear not; a patch is coming. Publisher Atlus has also issued reassurances about the huge amount of launch-day DLC for BlazBlue developer Arc System Works' curious spin-off from the widely-admired RPG series.
Persona 4 Arena is the first region-locked PS3 game
PlayStation 3 has been the import gamer's console of choice this generation, thanks to its lack of region-free games. Whether you're a US gamer looking to play Japanese games, or a gamer that owns a snazzy Japan-only special edition console, you knew that any game from any region would play in your system.
Of course, someone had to screw that up. Surprisingly, it's Atlus. Persona 4 Arena is the first region-locked game on the console.
Persona 4 Arena lashes out in August
A fighting game is far from the most obvious tie-in to make for Atlus' Persona RPG series, but with BlazBlue developer Arc System Works at the helm, Persona 4 Arena may turn out to be quite interesting indeed. Atlus announced today that it'll launch for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 7, and confirmed it'll boast both Japanese and English voiceover options.
Code of Princess confirmed for North America
Having celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee only yesterday here in England, Atlus's announcement that it's bringing "action-RPG brawler" Code of Princess westward for Nintendo 3DS leaves me feeling a little short-changed. Rather than simulating standing po-faced on a boat whilst waving, CoP offers side-scroller beat 'em up shenanigans. Our monarchy is rubbish.
Zeno Clash 2 coming with co-op in 2013
E3 has yet to begin, but surely some of the show's finest news has already arrived. Zeno Clash II, ACE Team's sequel to its strange and wonderful first-person face-puncher, has been confirmed for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in "early 2013," publisher Atlus announced today. This time around, it's an open-world affair, complete with two-player online campaign co-op.

Trine 2 concept artist shows off expansion
Frozenbyte is working on the large-scale expansion for Trine 2, targeting sometime before summer. You may have noticed it getting warmer outside, so that deadline is approaching fast; but to hold you over in the meantime, the developer has released a video showing off the concept art for the upcoming DLC.
Dragon's Crown delayed to 2013, published by Atlus
Developer Vanillaware has secured a new publisher for its multiplayer action-RPG, Dragon's Crown. Formerly in the hands of troubled publisher UTV Ignition, the rights have now transferred to Atlus.
In Dragon's Crown, up to four players can choose from a selection of six different characters who explore labyrinths for treasure, ultimately seeking the coveted Dragon's Crown. Although publishing rights are now secured, folks are going to have to wait a bit longer than initially expected before they'll be able to get their hands on the game.

The Demon's Souls servers are finally going to meet that great cloud network in the sky. Publisher Atlus has announced that the game servers will be shut down at 11:59 PM PST on May 31. For real this time.
Trine 2 gets hardcore
You may think you're a pretty big hat in the wizarding world, but have you got the wand to be a hardcore wizard? A new Trine 2 patch on Steam has added a 'Hardcore' mode for wizards, thieves and knights to prove their worth, with the option to disable sneaky levitating tricks too.
Trine 2 expansion pack to add new levels and abilities
Are you ready for more Trine? Frozenbyte is working on a significant expansion pack to Trine 2. And although it is technically downloadable content, the scope of the project has the developer hesitant to call it "DLC."
Coming later this year (before Summer, the delay-prone developer hopes) is a as-of-yet unnamed expansion that will add a brand new six level campaign, with new enemies and a new story. Best of all, the three heroes of Trine will be granted new abilities that carry over into the original Trine 2.
Persona 4 Arena coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 this Summer
The Persona 4 fighting game is coming to the US. Titled Persona 4 Arena for its North American release, the hand-drawn 2D fighting game features characters from Persona 3 and 4, and makes them pummel each other relentlessly. While the game may be published by Atlus, Arena is developed by Arc System Works, developers behind the BlazBlue and Guilty Gear franchises.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will include enhancements over the Japanese arcade original, such as a "full Story mode" and online multiplayer.
Demon's Souls 'underestimated' by Sony
There's a reason why Demon's Souls was a PS3 exclusive. In Japan, the game was published by Sony. However, in America, the game was published by Atlus--after Sony's US division passed on the opportunity to release the game stateside. In a new interview, Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida admitted that the refusal was "one of Sony's biggest software mistakes this generation."
"We underestimated the quality of the game," Yoshida said.
