I cannot stress how absolutely badass the second rocket launcher is for engineers - its worth sticking with the class if you are into blowing tanks up. Even though the description says its best for Anti-Infantry use, it reloads much faster than the first rocket launcher and thus you are usually able to do more damage. Its also great for creating holes in buildings.
The LMGs for the medics gets good once you get the Red Dot Sight IMO but by that time you'll be done with unlocks for class (in beta atleast). Spend most of your time dropping med packs and reviving for quick levelling
The FL2000 or whatever it is called for the assault class is also pretty awesome. I just have to unlock the final grenade launcher thing for it and then the Red Dot Sight I think... generally speaking, I find it useful to keep your grenade launcher up first, shoot a round, and then quickly switch to your gun.
Quick swapping to your pistol when you need to reload on your main gun is great for getting kills
When in a squad, hang around the outskirts of an objective in a protected area so your squad mates can directly spawn on you for an attack
And lastly, always drop ammo crates+med kits in choke-points or when other teammates will be at your position shortly during when charging an objective
