Finally set out to beat it. I had played little bits before, but never beaten it.
Mission accomplished.
God damn, Ultra-Violence Doom 2 was fun as shit. New games these days need to step it up.

Die Hard Arcade is fucking awesome beat em up love.
Iron Storm is an excellent turn based WWII strategy game.
I recall Legend of Oasis being a pretty fun sequel to Beyond Oasis, but I think that may just be the ol' rose tinted glasses talking there. Some friends played it a year or three back and were pretty critical of it.
It might be a bit more expensive (~$20?), but Powerslave is awesome. Sci fi / egyptian themed FPS with a level structure that is somewhat reminiscent of Metroid (you can travel back to levels at any point in time and explore them in new ways with different abilities that you learn throughout the game). Larger levels than the PS1 version (along with a much more graceful difficulty curve) and entirely different from the Build engine PC game.
Sega Rally Championship may not have many courses, but it's dirt cheap and fucking awesome.
Steep Slope Sliders is a pretty fun snowboarding game, though you'll be done with it in a day or so (after you unlock all of the bonus stuff). The sequel on PS1 has better courses and graphics, but doesn't have shit like The Silver Surfer or a dog on skis. It DOES have some peeps from Resident Evil 2, though!
Obvious stuff (not expensive): Nights (make sure you get the analog pad for better loop control), Virtua Fighter 2, Fighters Megamix, Virtua Cop, Virtua Cop 2, Daytona USA CCE and Panzer Dragoon Zwei.
Expensive stuff worth looking into: Dragon Force, Guardian Heroes, Shining Force III, Panzer Dragoon Saga, House of the Dead (only if you have an old CRT kicking around, though). I really want to play Burning Rangers but I could never justify the cost. :(
