1) The 360 and PS3 are not really in competition with the Wii. Totally different demographics.
2) The 360 doesn't need to cut prices. It's still cheaper than the PS3 and IMO, it's more important that MS show the entertainment division is profitable than it is to cut prices in a desperate attempt to sell even more consoles than Sony. I'm fairly sure MS is content to keep their lead on the PS3 at an even level for now. Remember, before this generation started, Sony had an overwhelming lead. To be ahead of them in this generation is a major accomplishment. There's still alot of sentimentality for people to stick with Sony and I think MS knows that there is a segment of people that will simply not buy a 360 unless it is far cheaper and the PS3 just completely fails to impress.
3) The split in sales of GTA IV isn't alarming. Given that he only sampled one game retailer and that the 2:1 split in games sold is a few percentage points below the installed base ratio of the two consoles is well within a reasonable margin of error. The fact that the Exclusive content didn't appear to pull more people into MS's camp is irrelevant IMO. How many people even know that it exists? It's still valuable to MS as they can advertise it when it's released, and word of mouth from 360 owners will reveal it's existence to the PS3 people who probably didn't know either.
