I just got a PS3 yesterday, and the only reason I got it was because my PS2 broke. So, to say I was unenthused about my purchase would be an understatement; however, having messed around with it some now, it's clear that it's very underrated on the internets. I don't think it will be for long. First gen graphics top second gen 360 graphics (handily IMO). Motorstorm is a high water mark - it looks beautiful, runs fast, can show off 20 highly detailed cars kicking up amazing particle effects, using deep physics, real time terrain deformation, realistic crash physics with individual parts peeling off of cars and being scattered around the track - there's just a ton of shit going on. Aesthetics are one thing, but this is just an incredible display of power. There's not even really a comparison between it and PGR 3 or what we've seen of Forza.
Further, given the complexity of the cell processor you have to assume that things are only going to continue to improve throughout it's lifetime. Looking at stuff like the new trailer for the next Ratchet game only supports this notion.
Oh yeah, and support Mouse + Keyboard.
I'm not posting this to suggest everyone run out and buy one, or to justify my purchase. I'd advise the opposite - it's too expensive and there aren't enough games right now; but a lot of people just seem to be writing it off already, and I think in a years time they are going to be eating their words.

In a perfect world, both 360 and PS3 will end up selling about the same amount. Then EVERYONE wins.
