I had two 360s fail me less than a couple of days after getting them home, and it had nothing to do with me. I'm on my third now; luckily I was able to return the first two and finally my third, which I bought new, was from the late-2006 batch.
It has quickly become clear to me that you can chuck all your odds out the window as soon as it comes to dealing with the f'ing refurb replacements from Microsoft. Clearly the refurbs are more prone to problems. Maybe they fix the principle cause of failure, at the shop, but god knows what other parts of the system were weakened befcause of the first problem occuring.
At times like this, offer your advice to ppl like Wolf, feel badly for him, but for fuck's sake all you can do is take him at his word when he says he doesn't abuse the system. How on earth can so many of you find it so hard to believe that the systems he keeps getting are anything but garbage?
As I said, I'm on #3 now and it's absolutely fine at last. I doubt I'd be saying the same thing if I had RMAd one of the first two. Doesn't my #3 already put ME far above the odds...?
