Nintendo will broadcast a Direct video presentation today at 3:00 pm PT / 6:00 pm ET. Arms, Nintendo's upcoming fighting game for Switch, will be the centerpiece in today's livestream, which promises a "deep dive" into the upcoming title.
The company will also debut a new trailer for Splatoon 2. Both Arms and Splatoon 2 are due to arrive this summer—Arms reaches out to consumers worldwide on June 16, while Splatoon 2 will paint the town red (and assuredly other colors as well) on one month and change later on July 21.
Nintendo announced Arms, a brand-new IP, during its January reveal presentation for the then-unreleased Switch. Arms is a one-on-one fighter—a two-on-two mode is also available—where players duke it out using elasticized arms. There seems to be a fair amount of customization available: each arm boasts unique abilities, and arms can be mixed and matched to create unique combinations of abilities.
Meanwhile, Nintendo is prepping new characters and modes for Splatoon 2, including a Horde-style mode.
