Sean Bean brought his calming voice to the narration and tech tree quotes for Civilization VI. His character also is seen as the focal point as the game progresses therough the ages in various civs. Now, Firaxis and 2K have released a look at Bean in the sound studio.

The video is interesting if you enjoy seeing a face saying the words you hear in the game. And it also provides a light-hearted moment, as Bean is told he dies in the launch trailer for the game. That should be nothing new to Bean, who dies quite a bit in all his films.

Bean follows in some impressive narrating footsteps. The late Leonard Nimoy narrated Civ IV, and Morgan Sheppard lent his voice in Civ V. The game has also been quite popular, having sold more than a million copies.
