id Software opens poll for Doom reverse covers
It'll be helpful to know you have a nice cover for Doom when you're blasting away at demons.
When the release date for Doom was announced, the Internet seemed to make a big deal over its suggested box art. Today, id Software has revealed it’s working on some reverse covers for its retail box, both of which appear to be much better options than the standard box art.
id Software is offering two options for Doom’s reverse sleeves. Here’s Option A:
And here’s Option B:
The developer has opened a poll and will accept votes for the next four days. So if you’re interested in seeing one reverse sleeve over the other, head to Twitter and vote.

Since this is the reverse side of the cover rather than the main box art, I'm going with B.
If it were the main box art, I'd be honestly torn.
On the one hand, the old-school Doom player in me loves the second one. It really hearkens back to the art surrounding the original.
On the other hand, it also looks somewhat cartoonesque compared to the look and feel of the new game, and so might turn people off.
But since it's the reverse sleeve, I don't need to worry about that! -

I like B better, but frankly I don't like either of them that much.
Id has already done the singular icon type images a real lot in its history. All the quake games have that cover art, rage has that sort of art, and so on. It hasn't done anything like the Doom 1 style, which B is closest to. However, B looks more like a cheesy homage than the real thing (which, admittedly, is itself pretty cheesy) -
