Killer Instinct teases that Tusk will pick up his sword once more

Iron Galaxy has released a new version of the Arbiter's trailer for Killer Instinct, but has added a teaser to reveal that an old KI favorite is primed to make a comeback in Season 3.

After revealing that Halo's Arbiter would be joining the Killer Instinct roster for Season 3, no one would blame Microsoft and Iron Galaxy if they simply dropped the mic and walked off the stage there. But no, Iron Galaxy is continuing with more character reveals and has teased the next character at the end of a re-uploaded Arbiter trailer. And surprise! It's another old favorite.

The end of the recently re-uploaded Arbiter trailer has teased the return of the barbarian Tusk from Killer Instinct 2. Tusk is seen wielding his massive sword and while his back is to the camera, his green dragon tattoo is unmistakable. Tusk rounds out the new class from Killer Instinct 2, with Maya having debuted in Season 2 and Kim Wu revealed a few weeks ago. The only KI2 alum not currently present is boss character Gargos, which should get the rumor mill running for another few weeks.

A new stage is also teased, as Tusk is seen walking around the arctic tundra of Scandanavia, surrounded by the remains of a wrecked warrior ship. For more, let's check out the Arbiter trailer again and, this time, stay tuned until the end. Killer Instinct Season 3 debuts on Xbox One in March, at which point the full game will also make its way to PC.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
