Burstfire is a new tactical shooter from the makers of Hawken
The former Hawken developers at Nacho Games have brought their first effort to Steam Early Access, a tactical shooter called Burstfire.
The free-to-play mech shooter Hawken has been in a state of limbo for some time. While it is still receiving updates, the game has undergone complete developer turnover. What happened to the former Hawken developers? They've found a new endeavor in the form of a new studio called Nacho Games, which just sent its first game to Steam Early Access today.
Burstfire appears to be a standard team-based tactical military shooter in the vein of Rainbow Six. However, teams will also be able to set traps and breach walls on their quest to victory. The game looks to put all players on a level playing field by eliminating loadouts and classes with all weapons and tools apparently available from the get-go. Operation Firewall is the only game mode available at the moment, with more expected to release later.
The full trailer can be seen below and, truth be told, it's looking somewhat rough. Early Steam reviews are also pointing to low framerate and other visual issues. Hopefully, it will look more polished in time, perhaps after a few rounds of player feedback. Burstfire is available now on Steam Early Access, but proceed with caution.

The problem is MWO was all ready out and was a better mech game so ended up with like 90% of the players who would play a mech game leaving Hawken with next to nothing.
That and Hawken was just a bland fps that plays more like counterstrike than a mech game the art style alone was not going to carry it.
Still since the Dev's left Hawken half done its a massive red flag to avoid this game given how rainbow 6 siege will stomp it in to the ground i think its safe to say there going to jump ship and leave this game to die as well.
