Shacknews Showcase 04: Demons With Splattershots

It's been a while since the last episode of Shacknews Showcase, so it's going to take Andrew a bit to get back into the groove. While he does that, our hosts take a look at Demons with Shotguns with creator (and Chatty poster) Nick DiMucci, play some Gwent in The Witcher 3, and break down the weapons of Splatoon.

This is Joe Tirado. This is Andrew Zucosky. And this is their boomstick! For this episode of Shacknews Showcase, our hosts get a closer look at Demons with Shotguns, alongside Mind Shaft Games founder and Chatty poster Nick DiMucci. But before that... Andrew needs to work out a few cobwebs. It's been a while, don't you know.

Demons with Shotguns is a 2D shoot-em-up that sees four players trying to frag as many foes as possible, collecting souls in order to proceed. Watch Nick play alongside our hosts and be on the lookout for Demons with Shotguns, which is set to hit Steam Early Access in late June.

Also, be sure to check out Andrew and Joe's breakdown of the Gwent mini-game from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Joe breaks down the various decks, as well as the rules of the game, while Andrew tries to keep up.

The show concludes with a look at Splatoon, with Andrew offering a walkthrough of the game's weapons. It's definitely something to keep in mind going into Friday's launch.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
