Development for Trion Worlds' futuristic sci-fi MOBA, End of Nations, appears to be in stasis. The game's website has been pulled offline, following a tumultuous development cycle that's included delays, staff cuts, a developer change, and even a genre switch.
"As we informed EON’s community last fall, internal development on End of Nations was put on hold in late 2013 while we evaluated potential paths forward for the title," reads a Trion statement sent to Videogamer. "We're currently focusing the company's energy and creativity on Rift, Defiance, Trove, ArcheAge, and some new projects that we will be revealing soon."
End of Nations originally began life as an MMORTS before becoming a MOBA RTS, due to the game's MMO aspects feeling underdeveloped.
