Sony Pictures has bought the rights to Console Wars, a book that chronicles Sega's attempt at going head-to-head against Nintendo during the 90s. The upcoming book includes testimonies from hundreds of people who witnessed many behind-the-scenes battles between the two companies during that time.
According to Book Trade (via Eurogamer), Seth Rogen is already attached to the film as co-director and co-writer. Long-time collaborator Evan Goldberg will also be involved.
Described as a "business thriller," it's likely Sony is attempting to replicate the success of another one of its most popular films, The Social Network, which went into the behind-the-scenes creation of Facebook.
I would much rather like to see Nintendo Vs. Sony which leads to the creation of Playstation. But that's just me.
