Call of Duty: Ghosts will have dedicated servers. And not just on PC--for all versions of the game. "Dedicated servers will be used on current gen, next gen and PC with Ghosts," executive producer Mark Rubin confirmed.
Rubin describes connectivity in Ghosts as a hybrid, mixing "dedicated servers and listen servers." He explained that "no matter where you are the game will always be trying to give you the best online performance possible."
In a tweet, he explained that matchmaking has been proved to put players "in matches that have the best overall connectivity performance."
In addition, Ghosts will feature new anti-cheat measures. Rubin also says he hopes "to add server browser and rent-able ranked [servers]," but these features will only be considered after the team gets through launch crunch.
