Did you miss Microsoft's E3 showcase yesterday? Oh, we didn't. No we did not. From SmartGlass and South Park to Gears of War and Halo 4, we watched my dears, yes we did, we watched and we wrote, and here's what you missed.

• Several minutes of Halo 4 were shown off, with strange and wonderful robo-enemies.

• Gears of War: Judgement was formally announced as a prequel sort of thing, celebrated with a short little trailer.

• SmartGlass is a jolly clever context-sensitive display/control scheme/gizmo working across Xbox 360 and Windows 8 phones and tablets, and awfully impressive.

• Internet Explorer is coming to Xbox 360, complete with Kinect and SmartGlass controls.

• Splinter Cell: Blacklight was announced for Xbox 360, then later confirmed for PC and PS3 too. Its story is ridiculous at best.

• Forza Horizon is coming in October with some offroad tomfoolery.

• Tomb Raider DLC will hit Xbox 360 before other platforms

• As will DLC for Obsidian's South Park RPG, which picked up a release date, trailer, pre-order details, and all that jazz too.

• You can yell at FIFA 13 and Madden 13 and they'll understand you, thanks to Kinect.

• 'Splosion Man developer Twisted Pixel's next game is LocoCycle.

• Toy Soldiers developer Signal is making a bloody action-RPG-ish thing named Ascend: New Gods, persistent across Xbox 360 and mobile.

• Usher made everyone want to dance, which was fine as he was coincidentally there to announce Dance Central 3.

• Gore Verbinski is working on a game we can only assume is... some sort of video game. Maybe. It definitely is named Matter, though.

• This year's Summer of Arcade lineup is confirmed.

• One of those SoA games, Wreckateer, was demonstrated live. It's some kind of first-person Angry Birds 'em up.

• Virgin Gaming's tournaments are being integrate into Xbox 360 as Xbox Live Tournaments

  Xbox Music was announced. Is it a rebranded Zune service with a new app? Who could say? Microsoft certainly won't. It probably is, though.

• There's evidently a dire shortage of fitness games, as Nike+ Kinect Training was announced.
