League of Legends 'Dominion' mode launches
by Alice O'Connor, Sep 26, 2011 9:45am PDTIf you need a LoL in a jiffy, help is at hand. Developer Riot Games today launched the new capture & hold Dominion mode for League of Legends, which aims to deliver shorter and more intense round of the free-to-play multiplayer tactical action-RPG.
For the past week, Riot had been testing the mode publicly by setting it live during off-peak hours, letting players have a bash early. And now we all can play, huzzah.
Dominion mode takes place on a new map, offering around twenty minutes of running around capturing control points and offing enemies. Riot explains a little more of how it all works in a new trailer accompanying the launch:
