Chrono Trigger rated for the Wii by the ESRB
by Xav de Matos, May 02, 2011 11:00am PDTIt appears that Crono and his pals are headed to the Virtual Console, after all. According to an ESRB listing spotted by Siliconera, the classic SNES role-playing title Chrono Trigger is being prepped for the Nintendo Wii.
While the listing doesn't explicitly state the game will arrive on Nintendo's classic console game channel, all signs point to this being the case. Chrono Trigger has already been confirmed for the Japanese and European Virtual Console storefronts; as well as recently being listed by the ESRB for the PS3 and PSP.
Chrono Trigger was originally released in 1995 by Square for the Super Nintendo. Widely considered one of the greatest games of all time, Chrono Trigger has already seen re-releases on the PSone and Nintendo DS.
