Evening Reading
by Brian Leahy, Aug 23, 2010 5:00pm PDTOver the weekend, I posted that I had "cheesed" my first opponent in StarCraft II. I had been on a losing streak and needed a win for my precious self-esteem. I had been the victim of the very build I used a week earlier and put it into action against an unsuspecting opponent. It felt dirty... but glorious at the same time.
Is this a slippery slope I find myself on? You can grab the replay here.
I'm off tomorrow and Wednesday on assignment, while Alice is on holiday. Be nice to Xav!

I've played WoW off an on since launch. I've leveled the shit out of just about every character. I can't stand the endgame and I'm not all that fond of PvP, so there's really nothing in WoW that interests me except what's about to happen with Cataclysm. That said, I have a much easier time amusing myself and killing time with WoW than I do with EVE.
EVE, though, is a game I thoroughly enjoy, for its depth and complexity. I have an old account with several things trained, able to fly Cruisers and (I think) heavy frigates, but I can't remember. The problem is, despite my enjoyment for the game, I tend to get burned out on it really quickly, as I've never had a good corporation or a proper role in the game besides mission runner and pirate destroyer. I really wanted to get into the industry side of things or get into hauling and selling. But that's the kind of thing I need corp backup for. Do we currently have Shackers still in game with a decent corporation?
