Xbox 360 Avatars Get $4 NFL Jerseys

In an expansion bound to please fanatical football fans, a selection of virtual NFL jerseys are now available for Xbox 360 Avatars.

The offerings encompass all thirty-two teams of the National Football League, with each jersey selling for 320 Microsoft Points ($4).

In other words, expect to see the men and women of Xbox Live endorsing their favorite teams, especially as Avatars become more and more common in-game. Remember when you thought you were safe from sports by playing Uno?

i bought one on a whim last night. i'm not even gonna justify it, i just wanted a panthers jersey on my virtual dude.

the funny thing about the "that's pathetic" comments, is that if i went down their bank statement i bet i could pick out a couple items that would get you publicly mocked for being a fucking dork. you spent money on this?! that's pathetic.

Why the hatred? A fan will pay 4 bucks for a bumper sticker that costs 3 cents to make, why not a virtual jersey? There's nothing dumb about it at all, if that's what you want to do to show your support. Sheesh, it's not like the threaten to kill your account if you don't buy one.

Oh, and bring me the university of miami college jersey.

If they got rid of that shitty idle animation - I'd actually care about the LIVE avatars, but given the complete lack of customization in every other regard aside from pre-defined appearance items, makes me not give two shits about those things.

Now if they implemented a system similar to Saints Row 2 (minus the adult themed items) it would be balls out awesome.
