The brains an amazing thing - I wasn't sure sure why but in the middle of work today a film came to mind that I watched when I was a lot younger.. I remembered images (it was on a moon! there were robots! and one of the robots cut a humans face off and wore it!) but nothing else.. and it was frustrating the hell out of me. Imagine my surprise when after a fair amount of googling I found the name of the movie.. Moontrap! In hindsight, we'd been talking about Evil Dead and even tho I didn't
realise it until googling this evening - Bruce Campbell is in both films!
Anyways, it got me thinking about other movies that are a guilty pleasure! You know, the kind of thing you don't necessarily admit to.. like when your older brother showed you Amazon Women On The Moon for the first time (it had tits in it!) - so I thought I would exorcise my own demons and post a few b-movies I actually (naively) thought no-one beside me had ever seen these.. the funny thing about this is that there are some (now) relatively famous actors in each of these, I just never realised back in the day.

Volkswagen is redefining the automobile with the L1, a bullet-shaped diesel hybrid that weighs less than 900 pounds, gets an amazing 170 mpg and might see production within four years.
The L1 concept car unveiled at the Frankfurt auto show pushes the boundaries of vehicle design and draws more inspiration from gliders than conventional automobiles. The only question the company’s engineers asked when designing the L1 was, “How would a car have to look and be built to consume as little energy as possible.†Their answer was small, light and extremely aerodynamic. Those guidelines led to a car that requires just 1.38 liters of diesel fuel to go 100 kilometers.
Although the L1 is just a concept, VW says the tandem two-seater points the way toward a future model.

It's 100% pure comedy bait. Right now it's full of people trying to contest their banning for having played pirated copies of ODST. Most of the people that are complaining have gamer tags with 20k+ gamer scores, and every single new released game on their played list.
I guess if you live within walking distance of a Blockbuster it's possible to have all those games under your belt, but to have snagged a copy of a unreleased game on top of that? hah.

I've now limited my Digsby usage to one machine and started using meebo everywhere else. Meebo is awesome especially now with their tray app, which keeps you signed in without a browser. I can have this tray app running on my other two machines and if I happen to leave and someone messages me, I will see the motherfucking message when I get to either computer. Centralized web-based chat is kind of awesome! The facebook chat is a bit dodgy, however.
So I still prefer Digsby because of it's obvious awesomeness but I wish there was some way to have Meebo's webpresense. If there was some hack to keep Digsby signed in 24/7 and use my 3 machines as clients for that system, that would be tits. Can we have a discussion about how we all manage our messengers?

I bought it to play with my kid, so it's pretty much a waste of $10 since I hate these types of games and he's not old/good enough to play anything beyond the tutorials.
Plus, the guys complaining about FPS controls on consoles have never played an RTS. This is like living a nightmare.

I keep getting called repeatedly from this number. Whenever I do pick up the phone it sounds like a man with a heavy Indian accent asking for a name. When I say anything in English this man is totally dumbstruck and hangs up the phone in thirty or so seconds, without saying a word, no matter what I say or how loudly (e.g., let me talk to your manager).
I just got a new cellphone and a new cellphone number about a month ago. Only 10 or so people have my #, almost all blood relatives or close friends.

Our move in date was Sept 5th,10,15 and now the 25. I can not afford to pay for rent and mortgage at the same time. We just went over tot he house to do a check up on it as we do every day. All that has been down is the painting. He pretty much has 7 days to do 3 weeks worth of work.
We paid him up front for all the material cost and labor at the end (5k). No materials are in my house right now and me and my wife are pretty much so stressed out right now its unbelievable. I am almost at a point to where i want to start crying as i type this.
I am waiting for his call back now and telling him i want all the materials delivered to the house NOW. I am pretty much fucked and have really no idea what i can do to fix this. looking for some pointers really.
