And a good morning to each and every one of you. Had a good weekend?

Mine was filled with hours of Fable 2. Unless the storyline goes horrendously bad during the last part, this will be my Game of the Year.By far more fun than anything I've played this year, and I don't look forward to completing it at all. I'm just doing side-quests now to avoid having to advance the main story for the time being. Though a bit buggy (I've played half the game with a furniture upgrade message at the top of my screen), its just so incredibly charming and funny - though I can see it doing nothing for other people because some elements are probably a bit of an acquired taste. Unless its just horse armor, I will buy every bit of DLC they release for this game.

  • Computer menz:
I would like to say thanks to all those that have assisted my in my computer troublez.
My new Gigabyte ep45-ds3l is working rocksolid with no errors upon installation of vista64, no crashes or anything.

In the end it was my Abit ip35 pro that was the culprit which i stomped on once i took it out of the case. I broke a cap or two taking it out..
Cleaning the cpu was a little of a pain but the zalman was very simple. My temps are even lower now 30-34idle and about 36-40load.

One question though anyone use those flash programs for the gigabyte mobo? Are they safe im scruured. It came with 2 bios back from the current bios.

  • Maarten - I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying Fable 2. I had a blast with it as well, and am only taking a break because I've invested at least 40-50 hours in the game and need to play a few other titles. The choice mechanics are artificial for the most part, but I feel Fable 2 succeeds in the realm of exploration, which is why I wanted it in the first place. The number of side quests and extras to seek out (gargoyles, silver keys, treasure chests, dig spots) really increased my enjoyment of the game.

I was disappointed to see it drop off my XBL Friends list so quickly when Fallout 3 hit. F3 is a great game to be sure, but Fable 2 deserves more love. In fact, it's not really F3's fault, but the reality that since late September/early October, there's been at least one AAA game per week that people have wanted to play.

Q4 releases are great, but I wish people would slow down and enjoy the games coming so quickly out of the gate. Rushing through a game like F3 or Fable 2 just seems wrong to me.
