So I've been watching my calorie intake and I have put 36 miles on my recumbant bike so far, doing 2 sessions last week (when I got it) of 6 miles each, and three sessions this week of 8 miles each. I'm down to +- 225 now - and have a conservative 40 more pounds to go. Its +- 225 now because thats what my home scale says, and I probably started based on my home scale at around 235-237 (damn I need a digital scale).
I've cooked some pretty decent low calorie meals to feed me at night, including some chile, some balsamic vinegar spinach and chicken thing that was pretty good, and some chicken cacciatore. Also, turkey burgers are pretty damn good (just the patties with a little rice, and a nice salad). Breakfast is 2x some quaker granola bars (90 cal each, I eat two), lunch is either a subway wrap and baked lays or a wendys Salad. I drink only water or Crystal Light so I didn't have to give up soda, been off that stuff for almost 7 months now. I would be surprised if I've gone over 2000 calories a day (with the exception of last weekend, when I visited my folks and attended my nieces HS graduation party).
As far as the workout, its fairly unobtrusive (historically I suck at sticking to these things) but I've been either shacking, listening to Sirius, or watching TIVO'd shows while doing it and it doesn't bother me at all. I do the 8 miles in about 44 minutes.
