Evening Reading

That Fuel of War sure looks kinda purty. Cant say I was ever a big Desert Combat lover but even if the game doesnt sounds particularly ground breaking you'd be silly not to pay attention to the guys who brought the DC behemoth to the world.

- Remember girls, if we cant see your ribs, you're fat.
- Patent office goes 2.0. Now just make patent laws suck less!
- e-waste is hot
- China hates your emo blog. They just dont understand your pain
- Wal-Mart spying fun

Lastly, all the rave reviews of Office 2007 convinced me to give it a shot and I am indeed impressed. If you're the type who is stuck fussing with documents and excel files give it a whirl.

      • reply
        March 5, 2007 7:05 PM

Hiro bends time and space. So time travel and teleportation. Although he hasn't refined it yet. He was on a gigantic quest to obtain the sword, because he heard about his future self having a sword and thought it was the key to his power.

well there's also Hiro's father who was as high up as Thompson, maybe higher. Whether he's still involved or not is unknown though. I mean, were you expecting them to reveal the entire company heirarchy? Everyone has been wondering who HRG works for this whole season in terms of company and boss and now we know a great deal more than we ever did before.

Well we know for a fact that Hiro's dad is involved since he handed Claire over... and Mr. Bennett and others in that operation all speak Japanese, so it points to Hiro's dad being in charge. Also, I think it makes a bit more sense story wise that there be two centers of power working against each other behind the scenes, each trying to manipulate and seize power through this... Linderman on one pole, and Hiro's Dad on the other... remember that Hiro's Dad tried to stop him from going to see Linderman.

I don't think Claire's powers retroactively heal any scars you might have. Peter must not have been able to conjure Claire's ability when the injury occurred and it scarred like a normal wound.

This is what a good TV serial should be like. The pace is fantastic. The story is good. No real central character (i.e., any of them can die and the show would still be a great).

I love this show. I just hope when season 2 comes around it maintains this. There have been other serials of this caliber that have fallen off the track after having great first seasons, notably Lost, Battlestar Galactica and 24, though sometimes they can surprise you and give you a good season or good episodes. Just saying...

      ----
Great casting too... ("They say time is the fire in which we burn." McDowell ftw) -- the producers of this show apparently love Trek. :P

Why would you fix up a couple of building in the middle of a city when everything around it is trashed. Just seems kinda funny to me. Not to mention the radiation, you'd think nobody would be there at all for a long time unless they were father into the future than is apparent.
