MX vs. ATV Supercross revives former THQ series

THQ shelved its MX vs. ATV series in 2011 as part of the publisher's drawn-out collapse, but when it finally fell Nordic Games picked up the franchise, along with Darksiders, Red Faction, and more. Of all these, it said, it was closest to announcing something new for the off-road racer, and here it is: MX vs. ATV Supercross is coming in the first half of 2014.

Silver and Desperados IP bought by Nordic Games

"When will they make a new System Shock?" you ask, sticky little hands tugging at my hem. "I want a new F-Zero. Where's my new No One Lives Forever? What happened to Desperados and Silver?" I stop you there, because curiously someone's showing interest in those last two. Publisher Nordic Games today announced it has closed a deal with Atari to buy the rights to cowboy tactics 'em up series Desperados and action-RPG Silver.

Painkiller Hell & Damnation Mac and Linux editions following mod tools

Few games receive mod tools nowadays, partly because they take time and money to make and support but also because mods often offer for free the sorts of things publishers try to sell as paid DLC. While Painkiller: Hell & Damnation offers a few pieces of DLC, it's also letting players make their own stuff for the FPS remake. Publisher Nordic Games today announced that the mod kit will launch in April. Mac and Linux editions will follow, too.

Painkiller Hell & Damnation curses consoles in April

PCnauts have been merrily murdering monsters in Painkiller Hell & Damnation since Halloween, but the consoleers were left hanging until today. Publisher Nordic Games today announced the fast-paced FPS remake will hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 5 at the budget price of $29.99.
