The post about Chatty activity just expired and I made a suggestion to extend the thread expiry from 18 to 24 hours. It got positive feedback but it was only up for a couple of hours, so I figured I'd make a new post about it. What do you all think about that? At the very least I think it will help people see more comments, a full day won't hurt and just makes more sense to me.

Well, I was a bit reluctant to do one of these, but I eventually had to. I'm sharing here because a few people were asking how they could help. Lol, it's certainly not easy for me to talk about this stuff!

But yeah, I've been managing everything ok, and insurance has actually been really great, but I'm getting a lot of treatment and some of those bills are getting up there. I'm also not able to return to work to the same capacity I was before. Work has also been very understanding with what is going on.

For Fallout 5 I think they should rethink power armor

It's become like lightsabers in star wars games.

Everyone wants it but it makes no sense for 99 percent of players to have it.

The only wearers of it are the BoS or the crazy people who have managed to steal it without getting killed. So it should be a super late game acquire and / or only obtained after doing an entire BoS faction quest.

I think it should also slow the player down to the point of being a PITA to wear or use, like no running whatsoever.

I just completed the most difficult challenge for me personally in any video game I’ve ever played. Beat Baldur’s Gate 3 on Honor Mode on PS5. Honor Mode is Tactician with bosses having extra legendary mechanics and delete save on party wipe. It was quite the intense journey. Highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already. Gives you the achievement and gold plated dice skin and the ability to post about it on the Shack.

Fort Collins, CO - We live here now.

Arrived yesterday after 30 hours in the car from Georgia; two humans, two dogs, two horses. Very tired.

We're staying in an extended stay hotel until our AirBnB rental is available. The hotel hallways smell heavily of weed since people are smoking in their cars then walking inside to their room (can't smoke inside the hotel). I talked to one guy in the elevator who has been living at the hotel for 6 months. I've spoken to a couple other people that seem to really leaning on the "extended" part of extended stay. But maybe the pricing is "comparable" to rentals when you consider utilities are included, some housekeeping, and other small amenities?

We're starting our house hunt so hopefully we don't have to find a long term rental but we're prepared to if we don't find the right house in time. We definitely don't want to be in the hotel a day longer than we need to.

As we've been driving around the downtown and seeing the mountains in the distance we're definitely reminded of why we wanted to move here. I just want the "settling in" to come sooner.
