But despite its cliffhanger ending, the next game may take a break from those plot threads and go all the way back the Silver Age of comics.

[Update] This giveaway is now closed. The lucky winner will be selected and contacted later this week.

We're not normally prone to reporting on PR-exclusive promotional swag for upcoming games, but the new Lollipop Chainsaw-themed 2012 calendar that showed up at the Shacknews offices is actually kind of cool. It's also quite ridiculous, but that's not exactly surprising.

Batman: Arkham City trailer highlights Joker's sickness

Batman: Arkham City trailer highlights Joker's sickness

It's hard to find a more epic and storied match-up than Batman and the Joker. Throughout the franchise's history, the Clown Prince became the yang to Batman's yin, and despite an embarrassing mohawked boss battle in Arkham Asylum, we're excited to see Mark Hamill reprise the role for Arkham City. Maybe that's why this new trailer, complete with adversarial Bat-banter, gets us so excited.
